DESCRIPTION: APW - Ball Waltham, Official RR Standard, 17J, 16S, 14K gold original "Ball Watch Co, Cleveland Ohio" marked case by Jeannot & Shiebler, rear with spectacular vermicelli and foliate scroll pattern surrounding a round central cartouche, gold cuvette, scarce white enamel SS dial with Arabic numerals in radial orientation and with Canadian market 13 to 24 hour indications in red, SW-LS, bull's-eye pattern nickel damascene, s#220654. Watch comes with a very unusual leather pouch marked "Ball's Standard Railroad Watches Cleveland, O." Gross weight of assembled watch 66.6 dwt (103.5 g). CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, very near mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, superb bright lustrous surfaces with very few minimal micro-fine scratches; dial with very small patched edge chip at 6, faint hls within and below seconds-register, very faint hl above seconds-register; excellent hands, minute with oxide at tip; case shows no wear, mild ding on band at 3:30 causing small flat spot, superb crisp engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; glass crystal with short scratch near center; leather pouch shows some mild wear and soiling.
